Build. Make. Be.

Project Fearless is a space for any girl* in Amsterdam and Rotterdam! aged 9-14 to get hands-on, break stereotypes, find their voice and create an impact.

A skate film made by girls, with girls, for girls.

In our autumn 2020 Skate & Create, we produced a how-to video featuring our very own Fearless girls. Relatable and real, encouraging girls around the world to skate, create and explore new-found confidence.

Hello, world! We are Project Fearless.

A note from our founder and a video recap from our first programs in autumn 2019! Give it a watch and keep scrolling to learn more.

Our Mission

Girls, going places

We show girls and kids they can be anything they want — helping them find their voice, their way.

In an empowering, supportive atmosphere, we give kids space to build resilience and self-confidence, learn to celebrate each other’s falls and wins, and meet accessible role models.

Igniting adventurous and aware humans who know they can tackle whatever life throws at them, and define success however they choose.

EXPlore our Programs

This isn’t killing time in an after-school club.

We design our programs to spark and encourage girls’ interests, confidence and skills, giving them tools to figure out who they are, on their terms. Our programs are outside school hours and run in 8-week seasons, 4 times a year. They’re inspired by these umbrella themes:

  • Three young girls with boxing gloves posing on a sports field, one sitting and kneeling, two standing, with a goalpost and stadium seating in the background.

    MIND & MOVEMENT LAB

From Skateboarding to Bouldering, our movement and sports courses are about building confidence, strength and new skills. We get kids moving, encouraging them to challenge themselves and learn by doing.

  • A diverse group of young girls and women working on sewing machines at a workshop table, with a large digital screen displaying a day plan in the background.

    THE MAKER SPACE

Think art meets climate science, sustainable sewing and lots more hands-on activities that let girls be creative, try new things, get messy and learn to use new tools.

  • Two young girls participating in a yoga class, holding hands and balancing on their sit bones with their legs raised and feet touching, in a brightly lit room with wooden floors and pink yoga mats.

    COMMUNITY & LEADERSHIP

Creating a connection between our Fearless community and the neighbourhoods around us. We’re about welcoming in and giving back, and we share this with our Fearless kids.

Who we are

Girls on their own terms.

Mérida Miller founded Project Fearless after realising girls in Amsterdam needed a space to learn new skills and discover who they are, on their own terms, not who they’re expected to be.
